Instructions for Navigating Video Presentations

  1. Click on the link to the presentation that you wish to view.
  2. The presentation title page will open in a new browser window. Click the "Play" link in the upper left corner of the window.
  3. The video presentation will open in the same window. The left side of the video presentation interface allows you to navigate through the presentation with some basic controls. The controls and their actions are below:

    Play Button
    Play Button: click once to begin playing the presentation (this button changes to a "Pause" button when the video is playing).
    Pause Button
    Pause Button: click once to pause the presentation (this button changes to a "Play" button when the video is paused).
    Next Slide Button
    Next Slide Button: click once to move forward to the next slide.
    Previous Slide Button
    Previous Slide Button: click once to move back to the previous slide.
    Forward Search Button
    Forward Search Button: click once to advance the video forward 10 seconds.
    Backward Search Button
    Backward Search Button: click once to move the video back 10 seconds.
    Volume Button
    Volume Button: click once, and then move the slider to adjust the volume.
    Arrow Cursor
    Arrow Cursor: use this cursor to interact with the controls.
    Hand Cursor
    Hand Cursor: when the arrow cursor is over an interactive area on the screen, it will change to a hand cursor. When you click the mouse with the hand cursor showing, it will trigger the action.

  4. You can watch the presentation straight through, or navigate to different areas of the presentation using the above controls. You can also move to a specific slide by clicking the slide title on the table of contents (found below the video area and navigation controls).
