Jon J. Tweedale

Jon Tweedale has spent his entire career in the Pacific Northwest Forest Products industry in a variety of management positions. Jon has over 25 years experience having held senior-level positions in regional and corporate businesses managing both the domestic and international marketing departments as well as broad experience in senior management positions. Jon has also led several corporate strategic acquisitions and new business ventures.

After spending 18 years with (ITT) Rayonier, a publicly traded company with more than $1 billion in sales annually, he has recently joined the Menasha Corporation, a privately held company also with sales of $1 billion dollars annually.

With Menasha, Jon was Manager of Strategic Business Development, within the Forest Products Group, responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of business growth strategies throughout the world. Menasha had embarked upon an ambitious goal for growth through acquisitions, internal business development of green field businesses and existing business development to grow the corporation into the next millennium. While at Menasha, Jon led the business planning and implementation of a private timberland investment business venture.
Now with the Department of Natural Resources, as Assistant Division Manager, Jon heads the state-wide trust-land marketing program which includes both forest products and commercial real estate investment program for the State of Washington Lands. As a public trust, Washington State provides over $200 million per year to public trusts, 95% generated from timber and commercial real estate investments.

Jon has an MBA from the University of Washington, Executive MBA program and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota Natural Resources Management program. He also has completed the Executive Business degree program at the Yale University School of Organization and Management.
