Howard Thronson

Howard Thronson is currently the manager of the Product Sales and Leasing Division in the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. A 30-year employee of DNR, Howard spent 9-years on the Olympic Peninsula as a field forester and 8-years as the Fire Prevention Specialist in the Fire Control Division before going the South Puget Sound Region as a District Manager and then to the Central Region, out of Chehalis, as an Assistant Region Manager and then Regional Manager for 8-years. Since June of 2000, Howard has overseen the timber sales, agriculture, commercial real estate, right of ways, special forest products, communication sites, sand/gravel/oil & gas exploration, and special use leasing programs for DNR. He’s also the DNR representative to the Washington Hardwood Commission.
