John Belton

BS Degree in biology 1957 followed by both MS and Ph.D. from Oregon State University (1963 and 1966 respectively). John taught biology with distinction for 23 years in the California State University System. He retired early and started to manage the family tree farm (1969 to present). Later, he took training as Master Woodland Manager under the direction of OSU Extension Service and now serves as a volunteer (1993 to present). He currently manages a 200 acre tree farm that demonstrates a mixed species forest with multiple age classes and a harvest cycle for most species of over 100 years.
