| Mariano AmorosoMariano Amoroso holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Master of Science in Silviculture and Forest Protection from the University of Washington. Before enrolling in graduate school, he worked as a forest manager in Northern Argentina on intensively managed plantation lands. Mariano is currently pursuing his PhD in Silviculture at the University
      of British Columbia. He studies aspects related with the stand dynamics
      and silviculture of the Sub Antarctic forests of Patagonia, Argentina.
      His research interests also include regeneration ecology, growth and development
      of mixed stands, alternative silviculture, as well as mensuration. Apart
      from researching, he enjoys teaching, and he has lectured both in Argentina
      and North America. |
